I have poor personal credit. Can I still be approved for credit card processing?
Yes. We have one of the highest approval rates in the industry.
What are Discount Payment Processing’s fees and rates?
All financial institutions charge an interchange fee. These fees are calculated by combining a percentage of total sales amounts with a fixed fee per transaction. The type and average monthly number of transactions processed will determine your organization's transaction fees. Discount Payment Processing will evaluate your sales volume and payment trends and recommend an electronic processing program that best meets your needs.
Do the fees come out of my money before it is deposited into my checking account?
No. All fees are deducted from your checking account at the end of each month. You will receive a statement that details all sales for that particular month and the fees that apply to those sales. Note: American Express® provides a separate statement.
How long will it take for money to be deposited into my checking account after I process an electronic payment?
Visa®, MasterCard® and Discover® sales are normally deposited into your checking account within 48 hours. American Express® deposits funds within three to five days.
Can I also accept Discover® and American Express®?
Yes, Discount Payment Processing will sign you up for Discover® and American Express® along with Visa® and MasterCard®.
Can I switch credit card processors?
Yes. If you’re unhappy with current rates or the quality of service, you have the right to explore other processing vendors. Please give Discount Payment Processing a call today to explore cost-effective electronic payment services backed by dedicated customer support, honesty and the utmost integrity in the industry.
If I switch, will I need new equipment?
Usually not! Discount Payment Processing can reprogram most terminal types and software to work with our electronic payment solutions. If you don’t currently have a terminal, we offer many types and models of cost-effective equipment for purchase or lease.
Do I need a separate telephone line for electronic payment processing?
No. The credit card machine can be plugged into any existing telephone line. The credit card machine will only be in use for five to seven seconds when it is authorizing a card. If you have call waiting, the telephone will ring once the credit card machine hangs up.
What exactly are Visa® and MasterCard®?
Visa® and MasterCard® are associations of member banks. The associations set the rules and regulations under which member banks and their agents must operate. They also develop, promote and manage the Visa® and MasterCard® brands, and operate the systems through which member banks clear and settle transactions.
